panorama, with a seating capacity of 57,803, is Arizona Stadium, home to
the Arizona Wildcats football team. On the right, with its white roof is
McKale Memorial Center, home of the Wildcats basketball, volleyball and
gymnastics competitions. The University of Arizona was established in 1885
as the first university in the Arizona Territory and emphasizes excellence
in teaching, research and public service. The university has over 36,000
students and over 14,000 employees. |

photograph of Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field was taken by James Blakeway
during a Sun Devil victory over in-state rival, the Arizona Wildcats, for
the Territorial Cup. Sun Devil Stadium, constructed in 1958, is built between
two mountain buttes and is considered one of the most beautiful collegiate
stadiums in the nation. With an official capacity of 71,706, the natural
turf stadium has hosted three national championships and the 1996 NFL Super
Bowl. Frank Kush was the head coach of the Sun Devils for 21 years, and
the field was named in his honor on September 21, 1996, just prior to the
Sun Devils' victory over then #1 Nebraska, 19-0. |

photograph of the University of Iowa's Kinnick Stadium was taken by James
Blakeway and features the Iowa Hawkeyes playing to a sold-out stadium.
Historic Kinnick Stadium is named after 1939 Heisman Trophy winner Nile
Kinnick. With a capacity of 70,585, Kinnick Stadium ranks as one of the
20 largest college-owned stadiums in the nation. The Hawkeyes compete in
the Big Ten Conference and rank among the top 25 schools in the nation
in home attendance. Founded in 1847 in Iowa City, Iowa, as the state's
first public institution of higher learning, enrollment now tops 29,900,
and several UI programs rank among the nations best. |

photograph was taken by James Blakeway and features a University of North
Dakota© hockey game at the $104 million Ralph Engelstad Arena. The
Ralph, as it's referred to, is often described as the "finest facility
of its kind in the world." The 400,000 sq. ft. arena includes seats
constructed of leather and cherry wood, granite floors, 50 full luxury
suites and two club lounges. The training facility features a 10,000 sq.
ft. weight room, fourteen locker rooms and an extra Olympic-sized practice
sheet of ice. The benefactor, Ralph Engelstad, played goalie for two years
at UND beginning in 1948. The late Ralph Engelstad and wife, Betty, are
UND's most generous benefactors. |

of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium was taken by James Blakeway
and features an OU Sooners football game against rival Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The first game at this site took place in 1923. The field was named Owen
Field after Bennie Owen, OU's head coach at the time, who became a charter
member of the National Football Hall of Fame. In 1925, the first game was
played in what was then, a new 16,000-seat stadium. Today, Gaylord Family-Oklahoma
Memorial Stadium is one of America's most recognized football stadiums
and now ranks among the 15 largest on-campus facilities in the nation with
an official capacity of 82,112. |

a Wisconsin Badgers football game. The university campus rests in a unique
and beautiful setting on the shore of Lake Mendota. Featured at the far
right is the Wisconsin State Capitol with its domed roof. Camp Randall
Stadium, originally built in 1917, is the home for the University of Wisconsin
Badgers football team. The current capacity of 80,321 ranks among the nation's
largest school-owned stadiums and has ranked among the top 16 in the nation
